Safety Conference Information
This year’s Safety Conference promises to be very informative
with topics of critical interest to aggregate miners, supervisors and safety
professionals in Illinois and surrounding states. You may also talk with vendors
offering products designed to enhance mining safety. The Safety Conference will
begin with check-in at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1st and will conclude by
noon on Wednesday, March 2nd.
The IAAP Convention will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2nd with
informative seminars focusing on aggregate industry issues followed by the
Sustainability Reception at 5:00 p.m. On Thursday, March 3rd the day will begin
at 8:30 a.m. There will be an expo showcasing our Associate Members’ products
and services, more educational seminars, the Associates’ and Awards Luncheon,
and an evening reception to conclude the day. Guests from MSHA, IDOT and other
State agencies are also invited to attend. This event provides an excellent
opportunity to improve your business relationships while spending an enjoyable
time with these special guests.

to conduct yourself during a MSHA inspection and investigation.
Jerger, of Training Solutions Inc., will help you identify factors
for human performance and modify the “It can’t be changed” mindset in
Hensler or Scott Johnson, MSHA North-Central District Office, will discuss MSHA’s priority issues.
Head, Q4 Impact Group, helps you understand the role of an engineer in
Kohaus, Hanson Material Service, will tell you about his company’s
innovative safety & health leadership program, “Best Practices”.

The Associates’ Expo is a key part of this
event—an opportunity to exhibit your products and services to a large
number of IAAP Producer Members.
Located on the 1st floor of the hotel during the convention on March 3rd
$325 per space
Price includes 10’ wide by 8’ deep space with an 8’ tall backdrop, a
display table (8’x2’), chairs, electrical outlets, wireless internet,
donation towards the Associates’ Luncheon held on March 3rd
which entitles your company special recognition in the Convention
program and during lunch.
Note: all companies participating in the Expo must purchase booth
space and pay the $150 registration fee for each attendee and booth
