Environmental Committee

The purpose of the Environmental Committee is to

• Educate the producer membership on current environmental issues and practices;
• Monitor environmental issues that may impact mining activities;
• Provide solutions to the industry’s environmental obligations; and
• Administer the IAAP’s Certificate of Achievement in Environmental Excellence program.

​The Committee membership is comprised of

• Producer members (large, medium and small companies in Illinois and neighboring states)
• Associate members (engineering and consulting firms)
• Agency representatives (IEPA – Air, Land & Water, IDNR, ISGS, etc.)
