Specifications / Technical Committee

The IAAP is committed to its partnerships with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Illinois Department of Agriculture, as well as other local and federal agencies, to ensure that the products produced and supplied by our members for road building, agriculture, and shoreline stabilization are the best quality available.  The Specifications / Technical Committee helps guide these efforts.
Purpose of the Specifications / Technical Committee is to
  • Educate the producer membership about current specifications and technical issues relating to road construction;
  • Monitor technical issues that may impact mining and processing activities; and
  • Provide solutions to the industry’s technical challenges.
Committee membership is comprised of
  • Producer members (large, medium and small companies in Illinois and neighboring states)
  • Associate members (engineering and consulting firms)
  • Agency representatives (IDOT and ISGS)
  • Representatives from allied organizations
