Lake Land College is authorized by IDOT to provide the 5-day aggregate technician course. Earlier this year, all classes were postponed when the Governor issued the first stay at home order. However, Lake Land has developed virtual classes for many of their training courses. For this course, the lecture portion will be held online and students can complete it on their own as long as they meet the due dates. The labs are mandatory and will be completed via live Zoom meetings at scheduled times.
If you or others at your company need to obtain the 5-day aggregate technician certification, contact Kathy Willenborg at Lake Land by calling 217-962-0591 or email [email protected]. Provide the employee's name and contact info to be placed on the waiting list. Lake Land wants to reach a minimum of 15 students before holding the class. The start date has yet to be determined but the earliest it could be held would be mid to late August. Learn more about the course on their web page: https://www.lakelandcollege.edu/idot-quality-management-training-program/. Scroll down and click on the Course Descriptions and Fees and then go to “CET 021 Aggregate Technician” to see the description for the class. The fee for this virtual course is the same.
