What do you need to know and where do you start? The IAAP’s Sustainability Committee invites you to participate in an educational field trip to Thelen Sand & Gravel (Antioch) to learn more about solar integration and how it has worked for the mining company. The session will give attendees an opportunity to tour the ground-mounted array and hear from company stakeholders about the key project motivations and results. Attendees will also learn more about the pertinent technical, financial and operational aspects of the investment from SunPeak, the company who developed and constructed the Thelen solar system. The session will begin at 10:00 AM onsite at the Antioch mine (28955 W. IL Route 173, Antioch, IL) and lunch will be provided.
